UsageMeter — Privacy Policy

UsageMeter does not collect, transmit, store on any server, or share any of your data. No analytics, no telemetry, no tracking, no third-party SDKs, no account on our side. Everything stays on your Mac.

What UsageMeter reads (locally only)

• Claude Code logs (~/.claude/projects) — only token counts, model names, timestamps, and request IDs. Never your messages / conversation content.
• Your claude.ai account (only if you log in) — only usage percentages, reset times, and your own spend. Never conversation content. We never see your password; only your session cookie is stored locally, and Log out wipes it.
• Service status — Anthropic's public status page; no personal data.

Where data lives

Local caches in ~/Library/Application Support/UsageMeter/ (or the sandboxed app's private container). None of it ever leaves your Mac.

Network access

Only to status.claude.com (public) and — if you log in — claude.ai (your own account). Nothing is sent to the developer or any third party.

Account integration note

The claude.ai usage data comes from an unofficial, undocumented endpoint (the same one the Usage page uses), accessed with your own login. Logging in is optional; the app works fully without it.

Data sale, ads, children

No data is sold or shared (there is none), no ads, not directed at children. The Mac App Store privacy label is "Data Not Collected."
